The primary (host) router is not required to be running DD-WRT firmware. The primary and secondary (DD-WRT Client Mode) routers must be on separate subnets, and NAT is used between them. Thus, when port forwarding is needed it must be configured at both routers - not just on the host router. Nov 24, 2014 · http://trythistv.com WDS is similar to repeater mode that we've already covered, except it is more of an extension of the same network. seamless transitions DD-WRT has channel configuration settings that must be configured; Wireless mode, this determines if the router will be used as an Access Point, Repeater, Client or in an Ad-hoc configuration mode. Channel options are only avalaible to a router running in AP or Ad-Hoc wireless mode.
By default, DD-WRT will have that mode for most of routers. On some routers, depending on the chipset they have, it will have the – repeater mode by default, which you can use that as well. Thank you for your time. I hope the post is useful to you.
